TheFacultyof Letters is an ideal place for international students to study Japanese history, culture,andenvironmentcomprehensively anddeepen international understandingthroughcontactthemanyoverseas students enrolled in it. We also have active exchange programs withoverseas universities withacademicagreement,providing studentswithan opportunitytostudy abroad.Inaddition totheseunique opportunities for crosscultural experience, the Faculty offers practical trainingininformationtechnologyfromtherstandsecond years, and a choice of major and preparatory instruction for the graduationthesis from the freshman year onward, organically connecting robust specialization with an interface with contemporary society. The Faculty aims at nurturingeducational and cultural leaders who have an accurate grasp of the broader relationshipsbetweenhumanity andtheenvironment,and whose actions are guided by reason and an internationalperspective. 学部の特色「一ひと人りひとりの顔かおが見みえる教きょう育いく」と、徹てっ底ていした少しょう人にん数ずう教きょう育いくを重じゅう視し。21世せい紀きを生いきる上うえで必ひつ要ような人じん文ぶん科か学がくの諸しょ分ぶん野やを多た岐きにわたって履り修しゅうできます。文ぶん学がく部ぶでは、21世せい紀きに必ひつ要ような人じん文ぶん科か学がくの諸しょ分ぶん野やを、教きょう育いく・倫りん理り・哲てつ学がく・歴れき史し・考こう古こ・地ち理り・環かん境きょう・文ぶん学がく・言げん語ご・文ぶん化かなど、多た岐きにわたって学がく習しゅうできます。また「一ひと人りひとりの顔かおが見みえる教きょう育いく」を重じゅう視しして、1クラス10人にん以い下かのゼミによる徹てっ底ていした少しょう人にん数ずう教きょう育いくにより、教きょう師しと学がく生せいが温あたたかい人にん間げん関かん係けいを保たもちながら、真しん剣けんで活かっ発ぱつな学がく習しゅう活かつ動どうが行おこなわれることを実じつ現げんしています。文ぶん学がく部ぶは、外がい国こく人じん留りゅう学がく生せいが日に本ほんの歴れき史し・文ぶん化か・環かん境きょうなどの学がく問もんを総そう合ごう的てきに考こう究きゅうして国こく際さい理り解かいを深ふかめるうえで最さい適てきの学がく部ぶであり、多た数すうの留りゅう学がく生せいが在ざい籍せきし交こう流りゅうを深ふかめているほか、交こう換かん留りゅう学がく生せいの派は遣けんや受うけ入いれも活かっ発ぱつに行おこなっています。これら特とく色しょくのある国こく際さい交こう流りゅうを進すすめているほか、1～ 2年ねん次じから総そう合ごう教きょう育いく科か目もくと専せん門もん科か目もくとを用よう意いし、卒そつ論ろんへの準じゅん備び教きょう育いくを行おこなうなど、「現げん代だい社しゃ会かいとの接せっ点てん」と「専せん門もん性せいの充じゅう実じつ」が有ゆう機き的てきに結むすびついています。 学びの目的知ち識しきや技ぎ術じゅつの習しゅう得とくはもちろん、総そう合ごう的てきな判はん断だん力りょくを兼かね備そなえ、国こく際さい的てきな視し野やに立たって行こう動どうできる国こく際さい社しゃ会かいのリーダーを育いく成せいしています。文ぶん学がく部ぶが目め指ざしていることは、卒そつ業ぎょう後ごすぐに社しゃ会かいの即そく戦せん力りょくとなる技ぎ術じゅつの習しゅう得とくだけではありません。総そう合ごう的てきな判はん断だん力りょくを備そなえ、国こく際さい的てきな視し野やに立たって行こう動どうできる人にん間げんの育いく成せいを目もく標ひょうとしています。必ひつ要ような時ときに自じ分ぶんの考かんがえを理り論ろん立だてて表ひょう明めいできる説せっ得とく力りょくと深ふか味みのある人にん間げんを社しゃ会かいに送おくり出だす。これこそ文ぶん学がく部ぶの基き本ほん的てき使し命めいだと考かんがえています。21世せい紀きの新しん時じ代だいを社しゃ会かいのリーダーとして活かつ躍やくするためには、専せん門もん知ち識しきや技ぎ術じゅつだけでなく、論ろん理り的てきなものの考かんがえ方かたや明めい晰せきな倫りん理り観かんを備そなえることがどうしても必ひつ要ようになるからなのです。また、文ぶん学がく部ぶでは教きょう員いん資し格かくの他ほか、図と書しょ館かん司し書しょ、博はく物ぶつ館かん学がく芸げい員いん、社しゃ会かい教きょう育いく主しゅ事じなど多た様ような資し格かく取しゅ得とくもできます。人にん間げんと環かん境きょうとの全ぜん体たい像ぞうを的てき確かくにとらえ、国こく際さい的てき視し野やに立たって理り性せい的てきに行こう動どうできる教きょう育いく的てき・文ぶん化か的てき指し導どう者しゃの育いく成せいも目もく標ひょうとしています。Department of Education ［教きょう育いく学がっ科か］Department of History and Geography ［史し学がく地ち理り学がっ科か］Department of Literature ［文ぶん学がっ科か］
