Kokushikan University has always excelled in sports and has even produced Olympic medalists, and of course there are also various culture-related clubs. At present the university has about 120 clubs engaged in extracurricular activities.多おおくの学がく生せいはクラブ活かつ動どうに参さん加かし、充じゅう実じつした学がく生せい生せい活かつを送おくっています。国こく士し舘かん大だい学がくは元がん来らい体たい育いく、スポーツの分ぶん野やで長たけており、オリンピックにおいてもメダリストを輩はい出しゅつしています。もちろん文ぶん化か系けいクラブも充じゅう実じつしており、合ごう計けい約やく110の課か外がい活かつ動どうクラブがあります。Japanese Kempo ［日に本ほん拳けん法ぽう］Japanese History ［日に本ほん史し研けん究きゅう］Japanese Kempo is a form of mixed martial arts that incorporates protective gear. In the Japanese Kempo Club, we not only train in striking, kicking, and throwing techniques, but we also place great importance on courtesy and fostering a strong sense of morality to prepare for life in society.During club activities, we focus on energy and discipline, but after training, we often enjoy ice cream together.Since last year, the number of members has rapidly increased, and we now have 31 members. We are the Japanese History Club at Kokushikan University. We meet every Thursday to decipher mainly Edo Period texts, but we also take books and historical events and have discussions about them using historical sources. During our summer camp, we learn how to handle primary source documents and how to convert them into data. We have had exchange students join our group, and we also engage in cultural exchange outside of Japanese history. Everyone is friendly, and we enjoy our activities while helping one another out.
