The growing trend toward an older population with fewer childbirths, environmental issues and other problems have surfaced, and it has become increasingly necessary to develop students’ abilities and skills to open their way toward their future in their lives and society. Also, many different problems regarding school life have been identified, including the deterioration of academic skills and physical strength, bullying and the refusal to attend school, among others. The pursuit of better education for children is taking on greater importance.To nurture the attitude of always continuing to learn, to foresee changes like these and to solve the array of problems facing schools, the Children’s Sports Education Department mainly focuses on physical education and sports in its curriculum and aims to develop expert elementary school teachers well equipped as educators and with practical skills for teaching specific subjects.近きん年ねん、グローバル化かの進しん展てんや絶たえ間まない技ぎ術じゅつ革かく新しんなどにより急きゅう激げきな変へん化かが見みられ、予よ測そく困こん難なんな時じ代だいとなっています。少しょう子し高こう齢れい化かや環かん境きょう問もん題だいなどの問もん題だいも顕けん在ざい化かしており、自じ分ぶんの人じん生せいと社しゃ会かいを切きり開ひらいていくことのできる資し質しつ･能のう力りょくの育いく成せいが求もとめられています。また、学がく力りょく･体たい力りょくの低てい下か、いじめ、不ふ登とう校こうなどの学がっ校こうをめぐる様さま々ざまな問もん題だいも指し摘てきされており、学がっ校こう期きのこどもをどのように教きょう育いくしていくかは極きわめて重じゅう要ようなテーマとなっています。こどもスポーツ教きょう育いく学がっ科かでは、このような変へん化かを見み据すえるための学まなび続つづける姿し勢せいとこうした学がっ校こうをめぐる問もん題だいや様さま々ざまな課か題だいを解かい決けつすべく、体たい育いく･スポーツ活かつ動どうを主おもな履り修しゅう内ない容ようとしながら、教きょう育いく者しゃとしての高たかい専せん門もん性せいを有ゆうするとともに各かく教きょう科かなどの具ぐ体たい的てきな教きょう育いく実じっ践せん力りょくを備そなえた優すぐれた小しょう学がっ校こう教きょう員いんの育いく成せいを目め指ざしています。＊1=Freshman, 2=Sophomore, 3=Junior, 4=Senior
