031SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING理り工こう学がく部ぶ Features of the FacultyNew educationsystem of“six course in one department”enhances specialization and helps each student’s drearrmto cometrue.Thenewly established School of ScienceandEngineeringistakenover theformer Faculty of Engineering. Wehave adoptedthenew system of “six courses in one department” by replacing the concept toclassify departments to major according to their narrowly specialized elds of study. The six courses composed of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Informatics, Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Design, Human Informatics and Mathematics and Science. Thus,every student can study his or her major according to the broad and interlinked educationalelds ofscience and engineering.In this way, the School enables the students to acquire expertisenecessary to realize their ambitions while widening their vision and nurturing their comprehensive skills based on broad education and knowledge. The four-year course is designed to provide thecomprehensive support for students to discover and realize theirdreams. Educational GoalsFosteringeachstudent who canidentifyproblemsandndhisor her own solutions while experiencing the joy of creating and understanding its signicance, and apply his or her outstandingcreativity toward diverse needs.To respondtovariousdemandsofstudents,weprovidestimulating education programsby dividing classesaccordingto prociencylevel of each student. Through our academic adviser system and small-class system, the School of Science and Engineering places validityon the needs of each student from entrance to graduation, providingsupport for his or her basic learning, campus life, acquiring ofqualications, and supporting a career. Rather than dealing withonly theoretical questions, topics closely related to actual socialsituations are incorporated actively in our curriculum. To this end, great emphasis is placed on fostering practical skills such as communicationskills using foreign languages, and the ability to use computers as atool.Bylecturingstudents how to identifyproblemsandndtheirown solutions and to determine their future paths according to their goals while feelingthe signicance andjoy ofcrefating, theSchoolof ScienceandEngineeringaims tofosterhighlycreativehumanresources who canexiblerespond to the diverseneedsoftheadvancing society. 学部の特色「1学がっ科か 6学がく系けい」という新あたらしい教きょう育いくシステムが専せん門もん性せいを高たかめながら、一ひと人りひとりの夢ゆめの実じつ現げんを応おう援えん。「工こう学がく部ぶ」は、新あたらしく「理り工こう学がく部ぶ」へと変かわりました。これまでのような“狭せまい専せん門もん領りょう域いき”に分わかれた学がっ科か・専せん攻こうという考かんがえ方かたを捨すて、「1学がっ科か６学がく系けい」という新あたらしい教きょう育いくシステムを採さい用ようしました。理り工こう学がくという広こう大だいな教きょう育いく分ぶん野やのうち、機き械かい工こう学がく系けい、電でん子し情じょう報ほう学がく系けい、建けん築ちく学がく系けい、まちづくり学がく系けい、人間情報学系にんげんじょうほうがくけい、基き礎そ理り学がく系けいの6学がく系けいを有ゆう機き的てきに結むすびつけ、各かく自じが自じ分ぶんの将しょう来らいを考かんがえて履り修しゅう計けい画かくに沿そって学まなべる内ない容ようとなっています。本ほん学がく部ぶでは、幅はば広ひろい教きょう養ようと知ち識しきに裏うら付づけられた視し野やの広ひろさと大たい局きょく的てきな判はん断だん力りょくを養やしないながら、自みずからの夢ゆめを実じつ現げんするための専せん門もん性せいを高たかめていきます。 まさに、将しょう来らい、なりたい“自じ分ぶんをつくる”ための4年ねん間かんです。夢ゆめの発はっ見けんと実じつ現げんを総そう合ごう的てきに支し援えんします。 学びの目的ものづくりの大たい切せつさや楽たのしさの中なかから、問もん題だい点てんや解かい決けつ手しゅ段だんを発はっ見けん、さまざまなニーズに高たかい創そう造ぞう性せいを発はっ揮きできる人じん材ざいを育いく成せい。学がく生せいの多た様よう化かに対たい応おうするため、習しゅう熟じゅく度ど別べつクラスに分わけ、興きょう味みを持もてる教きょう育いくを提てい供きょうします。アカデミック・アドバイザー制せい度どを導どう入にゅう、少しょう人にん数ずう教きょう育いく体たい制せいにより、入にゅう学がくから卒そつ業ぎょうまで、基き本ほん的てきな学まなびのことや学がく生せい生せい活かつ、資し格かく取しゅ得とく、就しゅう職しょくまで学がく生せい一ひと人りひとりを大たい切せつに支し援えんします。カリキュラムでは、単たんに理り論ろんだけでなく実じっ社しゃ会かいとの接せっ点てんを持もった課か題だいに積せっ極きょく的てきに取とり組くんでいきます。そのために、外がい国こく語ごのコミュニケーション能のう力りょくや、コンピュータを道どう具ぐとして使つかいこなす力ちからなど、実じっ践せん的てきな能のう力りょくの育いく成せいに力ちからを入いれています。問もん題だい点てんや解かい決けつ手しゅ段だんを自じ分ぶんで発はっ見けん、ものづくりの大たい切せつさや楽たのしさを体たい感かんしながら、自じ分ぶんの目もく標ひょうに合あわせて将しょう来らいの進しん路ろを自みずから見みい出だし、さまざまなニーズに応こたえられる創そう造ぞう性せいの高たかい人じん材ざいを育いく成せいします。Department of Science and Engineering　［理り工こう学がっ科か］
