This has very much improved the universities status and social recognition as a supportive institution when a disaster occurs.As fear that another major earthquake may occur in the near future in the metroporitan Tokyo, the public are becoming more aware of disaster prevention. Therefore, our new research institution set up in 2012 has begun researching disaster prevention, rescue ane EMS services both in Japan and overseas comprehensively, and training disaster prevention leaders as well as collaborating with the local community. From now on, we will work to enhance our new concepts and systems and offer these services when a disaster occurs.災害・救急教育、研究を通じて地域への防災の取り組みを支援未曾有の災害となった2011年3月11日の東日本大震災では発生直後より、本学教職員や学生ボランティアによる医療あるいは復興支援など幅広い支援活動を行い、国士舘大学の災害支援機関としての社会的認知度が高まりました。近い将来、首都直下型地震も危惧され、防災への意識が高まりつつある中、2012年に設置された当研究所は国内外における防災・救急救助に関する総合的研究や支援活動をはじめ、防災リーダーの育成や地域と連携した防災活動等を行っています。今後、災害拠点大学の機能をもつ本学の研究所として新しいコンセプトのもと、システムの充実に取り組んでいきます。Kokushikan University launched the Lifelong Learning Center in 2000, in an effort to contribute to the educational, scientic and cultural development of the community by offering the universi-ty’s facilities and intellectual assets to the general public. The Lifelong Learning Center has three ofces on each of the three campuses located in Setagaya, Machida and Tama, and is engaged in the following types of educational activities.(1)Certification examination preparation courses for regularly enrolled students, to assist their career development efforts.(2)“Open Classroom” courses for the general public, ranging from youths to adults.Collaboration with four universities and education board of Se-tagaya, we participate in the “Setagaya e- College” whereby students can study at home via Internet.本ほんがく学が有ゆうする学がく内ないの知ちてき的財ざいさん産と施しせつ設を開かいほう放することにより、地ちいき域社しゃかい会の教きょういく育、学がくじゅつ術、文ぶんか化の発はってん展に貢こうけん献することを目もくてき的として、2000年ねんに生しょうがい涯学がくしゅう習センターが発ほっそく足しました。本ほんセンターは世せたがや田谷・町まちだ田・多たま摩キャンパスに事じむしつ務室を置おき、次つぎのような教きょういく育事じぎょう業を展てんかい開しています。（１）学がくせいむ生向けのキャリアデザインのための資しかく格講こうざ座（２）青せいしょうねん少年から社しゃかいじん会人までを対たいしょう象とした公こうかい開講こうざ座　また、世せたがや田谷区くない内の4 大だいがく学、区く教きょういく育委いいんかい員会と協きょうどう働し、自じたく宅のパソコンからアクセスすることが可かのう能な、インターネットを通つうじて学まなべるｅラーニング「せたがやｅカレッジ」に参さんかく画しています。
