In addition to the core elds of political science, it is actively en-gaged in area studies of the United States, Europe, Russia, Asia, and Africa and in addressing Asian and Middle Eastern political issues. Along with research into the politics, thought, and culture of these regions, appropriate language training is emphasized. The Graduate School is responding to the needs of our times by training talented individuals as researchers, staff of think tanks, statepersons, government officials, professors, staff of interna-tional organizations, and journalists. There are diversetypes of students including international students and mid-career students.In addition, “Japan Program” started from 2013. This program aims to pursue masters degree of art and sciences. Mainly, this program is relevant for foreign goverment workers and teachers.It provides curriculum such as Japanese history, law, politics and culture.政せいじがく治学研けんきゅうか究科は、1965年ねん4月がつ、本ほんがく学で最さいしょ初に開かいせつ設された研けんきゅうか究科です。本ほんけんきゅうか研究科では、理りろんてき論的な分ぶんせきりょく析力の育いくせい成を目もくてき的とし、地ちほう方行ぎょうせい政から国こくさい際政せいじ治、政せいとう党政せいじ治など政せいじ治に関かんする主しゅ要よう分ぶん野やをほとんど網もうら羅するとともに、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、ロシア、アジア、アフリカなどの地ちいき域研けんきゅう究、アジア・中ちゅうきんとう近東を取とり巻まく政せいじ治環かんきょう境をテーマにした問もんだい題にも積せっきょくてき極的に取とり組くんでいます。各かっこく国の政せいじ治、思しそう想や文ぶんか化の研けんきゅう究と同どうじ時に、語ごがく学教きょういく育も推すいしん進しています。卒そつぎょうせい業生には、大だいがく学教きょうじゅ授、専せんもん門の研けんきゅうしゃ究者、国こくさい際機きかん関の職しょくいん員、シンクタンク研けんきゅういん究員、政せいじか治家、公こうむいん務員、ジャーナリストなど、時じだい代のニーズが求もとめる多たすう数の人じんざい材を輩はいしゅつ出しています。留りゅうがくせい学生や社しゃかいじん会人を積せっきょくてき極的に受うけ入いれ、様さまざま々なバックグラウンドを持もつ学がくせい生が多おおく学まなんでいます。加くわえて、2013年ねんど度から「日にほんせいじけんきゅう本政治研究プログラム」がスタートしました。これは「日にほんけんきゅう本研究」により学がくじゅつしゅうし術修士号ごうの取しゅとく得を目めざ指す、主おもに海かいがい外の公こうむいん務員や教きょういん員を対たいしょう象としたもので、日に本ほんの歴れきし史・法ほうりつ律・政せいじ治・文ぶんか化等などなど々のカリキュラムを提ていきょう供しています。
