Through the study of philosophy, thought, ethics, religion, and aesthetics of both East and West in ancient and modern times, we investigate the question of how we should live in the contem-porary world, learn balanced reasoning, and deepen our insight into the human conditions. But ethics is not merely a discussion of truth and ideals. Global environmental ethics, bioethics, and other serious issues facing contemporary society are also considered. Our goal is to nurture individuals who seek self-realization while at the same time dealing with the issues of the real world. This major equips students with a capacity for comprehensive reasoning also useful in both business and education.本ほんせんこう専攻では、古ここん今東とうざい西の哲てつがく学・倫りんり理・思しそう想・宗しゅうきょう教・美びがく学などを学まなび、現げんだいじん代人の生いき方かたを考こうさつ察します。真しん・善ぜん・美びや聖せいなるものを求もとめ、その本ほんしつ質を知しることで、調ちょうわ和のとれた思しこう考方ほうほう法を習しゅうとく得し、人にんげん間についての洞どうさつ察を深ふかめていきます。また、地ちきゅう球環かんきょう境倫りんり理や生せいめい命倫りんり理など、現げんだい代社しゃかい会が抱かかえる深しんこく刻な問もんだい題をも扱あつかい、解かいけつ決への方ほうさく策を探さぐります。倫りんりがく理学とは、真しんり理や理りそう想を論ろんじるだけではありません。現げんじつ実世せかい界に対たいしょ処しながら、自じこ己実じつげん現をめざす人じんかく格の養ようせい成を目もくてき的としています。一いっぱん般企きぎょう業や教きょういくかい育界で役やく立だつ総そうごうてき合的思しこうりょく考力を備そなえた人じんざい材を育いくせい成しています。
