New education system of “one department, six elds” en-hances specialization and helps each student’s dream come true. The former Faculty of Engineering is now the School of Sci-ence and Engineering. In place of the approach of classifying departments and majors according to their narrowly spe-cialized areas of study, we adopted the new system of “one department, six elds.” The six elds of Mechanical Engineer-ing, Electronics and Informatics, Architecture, Civil Engineer-ing and Urban Design, Health and Medical Engineering, and Mathematics and Science have been chosen from the broad educational elds of science and engineering and interlinked so that each student can study according to his or her study plans and aspirations for the future. In this way, the School of Science and Engineering enables the students to acquire expertise necessary to realize their ambitions while widening their vision and nurturing their comprehensive skills of reason-ing based on broad education and knowledge. The four-year course is designed to provide the comprehensive support for students to discover and realize their dreams.Fostering human resources who can identify problems and nd their own solutions while experiencing the joy of cre-ating and understanding its significance, and apply their outstanding creativity to diverse needs.To respond to various needs of students, we provide stimulat- ing education by dividing classes according to prociency level. Through our academic adviser system and small-class system, the School of Science and Engineering places importance on the needs of each student from enrolment to graduation, provid-ing support for his or her basic learning, campus life, acquiring of qualications, and nding a career. Rather than dealing only with theoretical questions, topics closely related to actual social situations are actively incorporated in our curriculum. To this end, great emphasis is placed on fostering practical skills such as foreign language communication skills and the ability to use computers as a tool. By teaching students how to identify problems and find their own solutions and to determine their future paths according to their goals while feeling the signicance and joy of creating, the School of Science and Engineering aims to foster highly creative human resources who can respond flexibly to the diverse needs of the contempo-rary society.「1学がっか科6学がく系けい」という新あたらしい教きょういく育システムが専せんもんせい門性を高たかめながら、一ひとり人ひとりの夢ゆめの実じつげん現を応おうえん援。「工こうがくぶ学部」は、新あたらしく「理りこう工学がくぶ部 」へと変かわりました。これまでのような“狭せまい専せんもん門領りょういき域”に分わかれた学がっか科・専せんこう攻という考かんがえ方かたを捨すて、「1学がっか科6学がく系けい」という新あたらしい教きょういく育システムを採さいよう用しました。理り工こうがく学という広こうだい大な教きょういく育分ぶんや野のうち、機きかい械工こうがく学系けい、電でんし子情じょうほうがく報学系けい、建けんちくがく築学系けい、 まちづくり学がく系けい、健けんこうい康医工こうがく学系けい、基きそ礎理りがく学系けいの6学がく系けいを有ゆうきてき機的に結むすびつけ、各かくじ自が自じぶん分の将しょうらい来を考かんがえて履りしゅう修計けいかく画に沿そって学まなべる内ないよう容となっています。本ほんがくぶ学部では、幅はば広ひろい教きょう養ようと知ちしき識に裏うら付づけられた視し野やの広ひろさと大たいきょくてき局的な判はんだんりょく断力を養やしないながら、自みずからの夢ゆめを実じつげん現するための専せんもんせい門性を高たかめていきます。まさに、将しょうらい来、なりたい“自じぶん分をつくる”ための4 年ねんかん間です。夢ゆめの発はっけん見と実じつげん現を総そうごうてき合的に支しえん援します。ものづくりの大たい切せつさや楽たのしさの中なかから、問もんだいてん題点や解かいけつ決手しゅだん段を発はっけん見、さまざまなニーズに高たかい創そう造ぞう性せいを発はっき揮できる人じんざい材を育いくせい成。学がくせい生の多たようか様化に対たいおう応するため、習しゅうじゅくど熟度別べつクラスに分わけ、興きょうみ味を持もてる教きょういく育を提ていきょう供します。アカデミック・アドバイザー制せいど度を導どうにゅう入、少しょうにんずう人数教きょういく育体たいせい制により、入にゅうがく学から卒そつぎょう業まで、基きほんてき本的な学まなびのことや学がくせい生生せいかつ活、資しかく格取しゅとく得、就しゅうしょく職まで学がくせい生一ひとり人ひとりを大たいせつ切に支しえん援します。カリキュラムでは、単たんに理りろん論だけでなく実じっ社しゃかい会との接せってん点を持もった課かだい題に積せっきょくてき極的に取とり組くんでいきます。そのために、外がいこくご国語のコミュニケーション能のうりょく力や、コンピュータを道どうぐ具として使つかいこなす力ちからなど、実じっせんてき践的な能のうりょく力の育いくせい成に力ちからを入いれています。問もんだいてん題点や解かいけつ決手しゅだん段を自じぶん分で発はっけん見、ものづくりの大たいせつ切さや楽たのしさを体たいかん感しながら、自じぶん分の目もくひょう標に合あわせて将しょうらい来の進しんろ路を自みずから見みい出だし、さまざまなニーズに応こたえられる創そうぞうせい造性の高たかい人じんざい材を育いくせい成します。
