本学部の目標は学生の異文化に対する理解力を高め、グローバルな環境のなかやビジネスの場で、それぞれの社会の枠を越えて重要な役割を担うことのできる人材を養成していくことです。
Our mission is to train students to enhance their ability to understand others and different cultures, and to urge them to take active roles in global cooperation and business beyond the limit of one's own society.
21世紀アジア学部には毎年80名以上の留学生が在籍し、非常勤も含めて教員の約1／5が外国人教員です。留学生のために少人数・能力別の日本語教育を行い、将来日本語教師になる方々のための日本語教師養成課程もあります。留学生を対象に日本事情理解科目や地域社会にホームステイする日本研修科目を設定しています。多数の留学生のために奨学金、学生寮を用意し、各国語を話す留学生担当教員を配置しています。
There are over 80 overseas students who enroll in the school of Asia 21 each year, and about a fifth of the teaching staff, including part-time instructors, are from overseas. The school provides intensive Japanese language programs in small classes, and there is also a course for training students who aspire to become Japanese language teachers. In addition, there is a course for international students on understanding Japanese society and culture, and another on experiencing Japan through a home-stay in the local community. The school also provides scholarships and dormitories for many international students and places teaching staff who can speak various languages in charge of them.
入学時期は4月および9月で、日本の他に中国・韓国・台湾・スリランカ・ミャンマー・インドネシア・マレーシア・タイ・ベトナム・フィリピン・モンゴル・ウズベキスタン・ロシアなどで現地入学試験を行います。
Students are admitted in April and September, and entrance exams are administered in Japan as well as in other countries, including China,South Korea, Taiwan, SriLanka, Myanmar, Indonesia ,Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Russia.
