Undergraduate
All of the following must apply:
- Applicants must hold nationality other than Japanese and either A or B must apply
- Applicants for the undergraduate program must have completed or intend to complete by March 31st, 2010 12 years of school education in a country other than Japan or be otherwise qualified by the Minister of Education and Science with the equivalent.
- Applicants for the undergraduate program must have received an international baccalaure degree, Abitur qualification, or baccalaureat and be 18 years old by March 31st, 2010.
- Applicants must fulfill the requirements below as specified by the specific faculties;
- Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Physical Education, Science and Engineering, Law and Letters
Applicants must have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) conducted by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) : specified subjects for the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Physical Education, Law and Letters are "Japanese", and for the School of Science and Engineering are "Mathematics (Course 2)" and "Japanese". The "Japanese" score must be over 200 points.
For the primary admission period, applicants must have taken the 2008 EJU (2nd session) held in November, 2008 or the 2009 EJU (1st session) held in June, 2009. For the secondary admission period, applicants must have taken the 2009 EJU (1st session) held in June, 2009 or the 2009 EJU (2nd session) held in November, 2009.
- School of Asia 21
EJU is not required for admission for School of Asia 21.
However, if applicants have taken the subject "Japanese" of EJU or Japanese Language Proficiency Test, he/she should attach the result.
Graduate School (Master's course)
Must hold nationality other than Japanese and either 1, 2, 3 or 4 below must apply;
- Must have completed 12 years of school education and graduated from a university in Japan or intend to graduate by March, 2010.
- Must have completed 16 years or intend to complete by March, 2010 of school education in a country other than Japan.
- Must have deemed eligible by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
- Must have qualified by Kokushikan University to the equivalent as above.
NOTE 1: Applicants for the Graduate School of Law, Interdisciplinary Intellectual Property Laws and Sport System are required to have the qualification of the 1st level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test or the equivalent.
NOTE 2: Applicants must hold the "Pre-college Student" status of residence according to the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act in Japan or have the intention to change to the status of "College Student" after entrance.
Graduate School (Doctoral course)
Either 1, 2 or 3 must apply:
- Applicants must have completed or intend to complete a master's degree by March, 2010.
- Applicants must hold or intend to complete a master's degree by March, 2010 or the equivalent from a country other than Japan.
- Applicants must have qualified by Kokushikan University as equivalent to the above.
