The Institute contributes to the advancement of the university's educational and research activities by conducting specialized research and empirical studies related to physical education and sports. In pursuit of this goal, the Institute is engaged in the following programs:

1. Research and studies related to health and physical education
2. Research and studies related physical education
3. Research and studies related to improving sports competitiveness
4. Other research and studies necessary to the accomplishment of the Institute's goals.

The results of this research work are published once a year in "The Annual Reports of Health, Physical Education, and Sports Science," and a portion of them are reported and discussed in the Institute's annual research conference.
