Focusing on science and technology in the increasingly diverse and sophisticated society of the 21st century, the School of Science and Engineering will pursue more profound and thorough education through the new "one department, six fields" system.
The Mechanical Engineering course fosters highly creative human resources who can form the backbone of industrial society through practical, project-oriented classes providing hands-on experience of mechanical engineering, which forms the basis of machine manufacturing.
The Electronics and Informatics course teaches the basics of electronic engineering and information engineering to foster technicians who can respond flexibly to new technologies and needs to create a pleasant environment.
The Architecture course teaches creative design skills, knowledge of technologies, urban and regional architecture, and living environment and architectural design to foster highly adaptive human resources.
The Urban Design and Landscape Architecture course teaches landscape design methods from gardening to national land planning and the skills required for design that takes account of the environment.
The Health and Medical Engineering course teaches basic knowledge of medical care and engineering to foster human resources who can serve in various medical fields such as development of medical and welfare equipment and management of medical information.
The Mathematics and Science course provides students with comprehensive scientific understanding based on themes such as "Mathematics," "From Elementary Particles to the Universe,"and "The Earth and Life," fostering the ability to apply it flexibly.
